VIOLET E. SANFORD Peacefully on February 28, 2015 at the Eriksdale Personal Care Home, Violet Sanford, aged 98 years of Eriksdale, MB passed away. In keeping with Violet's wishes, cremation has taken place and a family graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2015 in the Mulvihill Cemetery with Brad Squires officiating.   • Auntie Vi was very much a part of my very early life. When I was about 4-6 years old she called me "Kiki" pronounced "Kicky", but the spelling I remember from a Christmas present. I spent a great deal of time with her and Uncle Jim and Wayne. When I was 10 or so she started hairdressing in Winnipeg, a few years later I joined the Air Force, and we really did not see a lot of each other after that. I was so pleased to be able to visit her, with Wayne, when I was back home just a couple of years ago. She did not know me by sight, when Wayne told her who I was she said "Clifford!!!??? My God, but you've gotten FAT!! Auntie Vi always called things as she saw them. She was a kind and fair person who was loved and respected by all who knew her.
