NATALIE NAJDA It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Natalie Najda on March 2, 2015, at the age of 39 years, after a courageous battle against brain cancer. Natalie is survived by her husband Kevin Potter, her parents Michael and Donna, her brothers Christopher and Phillip, her nieces Elizabeth and Olivia, and her dog Shay. Natalie was born in Winnipeg. She attended high school at JH Bruns Collegiate and later moved on to the University of Manitoba, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in criminology. She lived in Ireland for almost ten years, where she met Kevin. They moved from Ireland to Winnipeg in 2006. Her passion in life was travel, which she did extensively. She made wonderful friends from all around the world during her excursions, many of which came to Winnipeg to offer love and encouragement during her period of illness. She was a friendly, loving person who radiated positive energy. She always looked forward to life's next journey. She will be dearly missed. The family would like to thank the staff at CancerCare Manitoba, the home care attendants, and the staff from the palliative care unit at St. Boniface Hospital - in particular Nurse Kelly - for their kindness and compassionate care. A celebration of Natalie's life will be held on Friday, March 6, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Friends Funeral Service, 2146 Main Street. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Natalie to CancerCare Manitoba, Room ON1160-675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB, R3E 0V9.
