Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROSALIE HALLDORA SZMERSKI (HIRST) November 2, 1937 - February 28, 2015 With gratitude for her life, hearts full of love, and great sadness we share Rosalie's passing. Our Mom was born and raised in Riverton until moving to Lac du Bonnet. She was a loving, caring and gentle wife, mother, nanny and great grandmother. Her gift of organizing was evident in family gatherings as well as in her church family and community. In her home, everyone was warmly welcomed, greeted by the aroma of coffee and fresh baking and guaranteed laughter and a good story. Left to honor her memory are her children Lorne (Patsy), Shelly (Mitchell), Colleen (Arthur); grandchildren Jaime (Derek), Clayton (Nicole), Jonathan (Shallyn), Garrett, Lacie, Erik and great-grandchildren Rylan, Kailyn, Ryder, Koen and her sisters Myrtle, Hazel (Robert), Beatrice (Allan), Marlene and Laurel; sisters-in-law Mayme, Joan, JoAnne, Blythe plus numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband Stanley; parents Gordon, Loreley, Ralph; brothers Allan, Ronald, Arnold and Glen; brothers-in-law Victor, Durwood, Jerry, Joe, Walter, Paul and Teddy; sisters-in-law Ann and Maria. Funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 3, 2015. In lieu of flowers, donations in Rosalie's memory may be made to the Lac du Bonnet Personal Care Home, Box 1030, Lac du Bonnet, MB R0E 1A0.
