Audrey was born in Edmonton, Alberta on September 29, 1929 to Alena Fern and Samuel Walker Caughey. She grew up in the Norwood Flats area of Winnipeg where she made many lifelong friends. After graduating from Norwood Collegiate, Audrey went to work at the Imperial Oil Company - a job she loved dearly. During this time she also enjoyed being involved with the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, The Chown Guild, and the Desk and Derrick groups. She married Harry Wilson on June 24, 1961. Together they lived on Claremont Avenue where their children were born. The family moved to Westwood in 1969, where Audrey worked as a support staff member in the St. James Assiniboine School Division for many years. The family cottage on 4th Avenue at Victoria Beach held many special memories for Audrey. She enjoyed viewing the many wonderful sunsets, social get-togethers with family friends and riding her bike with her little dog, Pepsi, in the front basket. She is survived by her husband Harry; daughter Heather (Bruce) Burnett and son Ken Wilson; granddaughters, Alexandra and Laura Burnett; brother Glen (Marg) Caughey of Toronto, ON; sisters-in-law, Julia Townes (Don V.) of Vancouver, BC and Hazel Sands of Nassau, Bahamas, nieces, nephews and many friends. Thanks to G.W.C.L and Charleswood Care Centre staff for the many years of care. Cremation has taken place. Private family interment to be held later in the spring. We have many happy memories of our friendship with Audrey and Harry. We enjoyed walks, cross country skiing and a number of New Years Eve celebrations with our friends. Always a pleasure to be with Audrey over the years, she will be fondly remembered, and will treasure our visit with Audrey in Sept. last year. - Posted by: Inez and Reg Edwards (Friend) on: Mar 07, 2015

We will remember Audrey for the many years of friendship with both Audrey and Harry. Many New Years Eve parties, at school, at the church, at our respective homes, and latterly at Golden West. We enjoyed her company right to the end and will always remember her happy smile. - Posted by: Tom & Edna Erskine (Friends) on: Mar 07, 2015
