VIOLET DOUGHIE Peacefully on March 1, 2015, at the Seven Oaks Hospital, our mother Violet, dearly beloved wife of the late Roy Doughie passed away with her son and daughters at her bedside. Mom will be missed and loved forever by her son Ron, daughters Beverley (Terry) Luchuck and Linda Choiselat. Mom is survived her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will also be lovingly remembered by her nephew Brian (Bobbi) Haines. Mom's dearly loved cat Barney will miss her also very much. Mom and Dad were married for sixty-seven years and resided all of their lives in Winnipeg, Manitoba. For these last years, Mom and Dad were inseparable. They looked forward to going to the mall every Tuesday where they enjoyed socializing with their friends. They had a passion for gardening and their front yard was admired by many. Dad predeceased Mom in May of 2014. A heartfelt thanks to Brian and Bobbi Haines who were at Mom's bedside during her illness. Memorial service will be announced at a later date. www.chapellawn.ca 885-9715

Condolences & Memories (5 entries)

  • I miss you very much Mom. Never in my wildest dreams did I think things were going to end the way they did. I had so many plans for the two of us this summer. I was going to take you to so many places. You took care of me and I took care of you after we lost Dad. Together, we overcame the grief and moved on with our lives. But, times change and now so must I. I will take care of Barney to the best of my abilities. But most importantly, I promise you that your wishes will be fulfilled. You have my word on that. You will always be a part of me. I love you very much. Till we meet again. Your son, Ron. - Posted by: Ron Doughie (Son) on: Apr 08, 2015

  • My aunt Vi..what can I say? I miss you dearly every day. When I lost my mom and dad, you and uncle Roy were there for me. On my wedding day... you have no idea how much it meant for you and uncle Roy being there. I was proud! I'm so glad we got to give you an 87th birthday party and you got to eat your cake! I miss you always. I love you always. You were a second mom to me. Thanks to Ron for getting my Mom's ring back to me to give to Bobbi. I knew after my mom died that ring meant a lot to you! Give my mom a hug in heaven. I will always have fond memories.....hugs and a kiss, BJ - Posted by: Brian Haines (Nephew) on: Mar 29, 2015
