Tom and I were friends since we were teenagers. I always think of Smerky on June 21 as it was his birthday and we always had some fun planned for the day, most often at CWB at LOTW involving a late night slow cruise in one of our boats. RIP Smerky, you are greatly missed. - Posted by: TED VARDALOS (Friend) on: Jun 21, 2022

From old high school friends to business relationships, Tom always cherished his memories of old friends and in business told it like it was. A great man who will be missed. - Posted by: Richard Naujoks / Rita Henderson (business / old classmate) on: Mar 09, 2015

With respect and admiration I express condolences to Tom's family. A fine entrepreneur who built a strong company and legacy. Running a company is no easy task and Tom demonstrated he was intelligent and capable. He was rightfully proud of his company's new location, the advances in business he made, the people he employed and the partnerships he created. He is truly part of Manitoba's Entrepreneurial Hall of Fame. - Posted by: Michael Selci, SVP - Business Development Bank (Business ) on: Mar 09, 2015

So sorry to hear about Tom's passing. We remember the old hockey parent days and the fun we all had together. Tom you were a good guy with a very generous nature, you always treated the boys on the team very well. May you rest in peace.
