ROBERT DEAN CURRIE It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our courageous husband and father, Robert Dean Currie, at home with his family at his side. He will forever be remembered by his soul-mate and wife Lissa Currie; their four children Jarret, Kaden, Mikayla and Rylee; brother Wayne Currie (Brenda); sisters Donna, Deanie (Terry) and children; and mother-in-law Alice Thompson (Tom). He was predeceased by his mother and father Anne and Errol Currie. Up until the very last breath, he thought only of the well-being of his family. Rob was a creator; he loved to build solutions to every problem he encountered. He was a "Macgyver". He was always happy when he got to help anyone that needed it and never wanted anything in return. Funeral services will be held at Notre Dame Church in Ile des ChĂȘnes, Manitoba, on Thursday, March 12, 2015 at 1:45 p.m., preceeded by eulogy at 1:30 p.m. Lunch to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba. GREEN ACRES Funeral Home and Cemetery (204) 222-3241 Condolences may be sent to www.greenacresfuneralhome.com

I am deeply saddened to hear about Rob. My heart goes out to his loved ones. I remember Rob as a quiet and friendly fellow with his head always stuck under a hood of a vehicle. He sure had a passion to fix things. Rob worked for my father years ago at Preston Auto Repair in Portage and my dad raved over his hard work ethic and dedication. He will be forever missed.
