Condolences & Memories (9 entries)

  • I was surprised to see that Gerry had passed away. My dad and Gerry were the best of friends when they were younger. I actually was just looking at pictures and I came upon Gerry and Shirley's picture from my parents 25th wedding anniversary. My heart goes out to you and know you are in my thoughts. Your mom and dad are now reunited in heaven. They were a very special couple. - Posted by: Wanda (Keller) Yanosik (Friend of the family) on: Mar 14, 2015

  • My thoughts and prayers to you Kenny, Wayne, Cheryl, Robert and families. I always enjoyed seeing Gerry, he always made sure he attended every family gathering; even last year when he was sick, he still made it to Riverton. Love and hugs to you all during this sad time. Love Tracey - Posted by: Tracey Jonasson (Cousin) on: Mar 14, 2015

  • Condolenses to the family and friends from the Tom Lester family. I have known Gerry since a kid and he watched me grow up and provided lots of guidance along the way. He was a joyous part of my work family at Lesters until he retired and onwards. He will be missed by many! - Posted by: Dan Lester (friend of family and co-worker) on: Mar 13, 2015

  • I grew up knowing Gerry and always enjoyed his company any time we were together at family gatherings or out at the lake. Gerry always had such a wonderful smile and laugh, it was infectious and had a positive impact on everyone. I was very sad to hear the news of Gerry's passing and will miss the opportunity of seeing him again. I will retain my very fond memories of him and his smile. - Posted by: Brian Magnusson (Cousin) on: Mar 13, 2015

  • So sad to lose Gerry so soon (after losing his wife Shirley not so long ago). Bless your hearts - Kenny, Wayne and Cheryl and families. And brother Robert, Mary and families. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. With Love: 1st cousin Ethel - Posted by: Ethel Bergen (1st cousin) on: Mar 12, 2015

  • Worked with Gerry at Lesters many years ago and tho he rode my ass I always respected him. He was a good man. My condolences to the family. - Posted by: Brian Mayo (friend and workmate) on: Mar 12, 2015

  • God bless your dad - he had a long, tough journey with his illness. I guess I remember him best, is when he and Robert were little and they lived in a little house across the road from "amma and afi"...........I knit sweaters for them both - the first things I ever knit in my life............I was about 12 years old, if that. My love to all the family. - Posted by: Amy MacDonald (Auntie) on: Mar 12, 2015

  • We are very sad to hear of your dad's passing. Our mom and dad were next door neighbors with Shirley and Jerry for many years and enjoyed many fun times with them. We have fond memories of Jerry - his quiet nature and his sense of humour being just a couple. You will all miss him but he is now with your mom and at peace. Our deepest sympathy to you - Ken, Wayne and Cheryl and families. Sincerely, The Peterson and Piniuta families - Posted by: Marilyn (Peterson)and Ivan Piniuta (friend) on: Mar 11, 2015

  • The news of Gerry's passing is very sad. I met Gerry in 2005 when I joined the Magnusson family and I immediately fell for him! He was incredibly sweet and funny and he always had a big hug for me whenever I saw him. I will miss his smile and his hugs and I have some great memories of him (and Shirley) that will always make me smile. - Posted by: Kathy Magnusson (Family Member) on: Mar 11, 2015
