REGINA TAYLOR On March 9, 2015, Regina Christina Taylor (Norberg) passed away peacefully at the age of 89. She was born in Gammalsvenskby, Ukraine on December 13, 1925 to Julius and Maria Norberg. The family immigrated to Canada in 1930 and she grew up on the family farm at Meadows, Manitoba. During World War II Reg served in the Canadian Armed Forces as a wireless operator stationed in British Columbia and then made her career with the Hudson Bay Company in Winnipeg and Toronto from 1946-1989. In February 1952 she married Samuel Athol Taylor and they enjoyed 23 years together. Reg loved spending time with family. She spent countless leisure hours with her many nieces and nephews. She enjoyed playing games, travelling, golfing and gardening. She was an avid reader, did beautiful handwork and always enjoyed listening to music and singing. Reg is survived by her sister Ruth (Lawrence) Nordstrom and brother Gunnar (Delphie) Norberg, sisters-in-law Kay Norberg, Olive Norberg, and many nieces and nephews. Reg was predeceased by her husband Sam, parents Julius and Maria Norberg, brothers Eric (Dorothy), Ronald, Leonard (Elaine), Edwin (Joy), George, and sisters Freda (Stan) Woods, Emma (Bob) Farmer, and Violet (Ralph) Shields. Thank you to the caring staff at Tuxedo Villa, Sturgeon Creek 1 and Grace General Hospital. Memorial donations may be made to the CNIB (1080 Portage Ave), the Manitoba Lung Association (629 McDermot Ave), or a charity of choice.
