Served as pastor at St. Mary's for 15 years prior to moving to Winnipeg. Helped St. Mary's Church become an active and thriving parish again. Rev. John Holmen was a very good man. I remember how he told me once that he would take his children to serve dinner at missions on Christmas. I was surprised at his depth of faith and how he shared that with his children and how much he truly cared and was so kind. It really moved me. May he rest in peace.
