CHARLES (CHARLIE) HOGUE It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our dear father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, friend, Charlie Hogue, at Actionmarguerite on March 12, 2015. Charlie was born in Ile Des Chenes, Manitoba on May 25, 1926. He enjoyed his early years on the farm with his many brothers and sisters. After he and Denise were married they moved to south St. Vital and raised their five sons. Charlie spent most of his years in sales; selling bread and cars and whatever else his sons needed him to sell. He was a man of many talents; carpenter, plumber, mason, mechanic and was never afraid to try something new. Although his working career ended early at age 47, he continued working to help his children and friends for many years until he was no longer capable of doing so himself. He was a very sociable person, talking to anyone and everyone that would listen. He will be lovingly remembered by his sons Louis (Louise), granddaughter Janice (Ray), great grandchildren Alexander and Kyla, grandson Tom; Roger (Sharon), granddaughters Karen (Cory), great granddaughters Emily and Hailey, and Tracy (Paul); Paul; Emile (Julie), grandsons Andrew (Brandice Smith) and Brian; and Claude. He will also be fondly remembered by his sister Helen (Bernard) Trudeau and their family, brother Raymond (Theresa) and family, brother Eugene (Marie) and family, sister Adelina (Frank) Duchek and family, brother Rene (Carolee) and family. He was predeceased by his loving wife Denise of 48 years, sister Lucia Riel, brother-in-law Luke Riel, daughter-in-law Ruth, nephews Jean Hogue and Donald Riel. Funeral service will be held on March 24, 2015 at St. Emile Roman Catholic Church, 556 St. Anne's Rd. at 10:00 a.m. with Father Carl Tarnopolski presiding. Interment will follow in Green Acres Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Charles' memory to the Manitoba Cancer and Research Foundation. The family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude and appreciation to all the staff at Actionmarguerite and as well to the staff and residents of Cathedral Manor / Manoir de la Cathedrale for their excellent care and compassion throughout his stays at their respected facilities.
