JANINA MARY KAJDA (nee KOWALESKA) April 17, 1927 - March 8, 2015 It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Janina Kajda at Concordia Hospital the age of 87. Janina was predeceased by her loving husband Marian Kajda. Janina was a caring and devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be lovingly remembered by son Frank Kajda (Daria), daughters Christine Single (Jerry) and Theresa Plischke (Daniel), grandchildren Kelly single (Clive), Lori Weston (Derek), Jay Single, Zeke Plischke, Samuel Plischke, and great-grandchildren Madison, Chloe, and Hudson Weston and Landen Quinton. Janina immigrated to Canada in 1947 where she met the love of her life Marian and they married in 1950. Janina worked as a seamstress at H&A Sportsware, from where she retired in 1990. Janina enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking, and playing bingo. She was a member of the women's division of the Polish Combatants Legion #246. She liked to travel, having been to Poland, Hawaii, and Las Vegas. Funeral service will be held at St. Joseph the Worker Parish, 505 Brewster Street, on Friday, March 27, 2015 at 11:30 a.m. with interment to follow at Glen Eden Cemetery thereafter. Reception will take place in Glen Eden Reception Centre after the interment. Viewing will be held one hour prior to the funeral service. Glen Eden Funeral Home and Cemetery 338-7111
