FLOYD (KENNETH) DAVIE FUNK November 27, 1948 - March 20, 2015 With the deepest sadness, we announce that after a courageous battle with cancer, Floyd passed away on the morning of Friday, March 20, 2015 with family by his side. Floyd is survived by his son Kenneth (Michaela), daughter Candace (Trevor) and grandchildren Jameson and Jackson. He is also survived by his sister Lorna (Rudy), brother Ron (Diana) and sister Sandy (Norm). Floyd leaves to mourn many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends. Floyd was predeceased by his wife Lynn, father David and mother Eva. Floyd retired from Motor Coach Industries six years ago after many loyal years of service. His favourite pastimes were spending quality time with his family at their lake retreat near Arnes, MB. His love for his wife and children could never be questioned. He was the most selfless person, always willing to lend a hand in any way possible. His talents among many were the ability to fix or build anything from virtually nothing. He always managed to save the day. The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the staff at Riverview Medical Centre. Their kindness will always be remembered. A celebration of Floyd's life will be held on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Friends Funeral Services, 2146 Main Street. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba in Floyd's name.
