Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJEANNIE MEDA On Tuesday, March 24, 2015, the sun dimmed slightly when, peacefully, Jeannie Meda, aged 76, left us for a better place. Left to mourn Jeannie are her brother Joseph (Nettie); niece Darlene (Dan); and nephews Joe (Karen) and James (Susan) and their children. She was predeceased by her parents (Paul and Nellie Rogowsky) and infant brother Tony. On March 15, 1939, Jeannie was born in Lonesand, Manitoba where she spent her childhood before moving to Winnipeg. She led a successful career as a Loans Officer at the Royal Bank for 18 years and several more years at Revenue Canada and Transport Canada before retirement. Jeannie was known for her kind and generous spirit. She was beautiful inside and out. Although she had no children, she treated her niece and nephews like they were her own. Without fail, Jeannie always called on our birthdays and made us smile as we listened to her sing Happy Birthday". She was the "cool" Aunt, driving her green Mustang, big hair blowing in the wind listening to the latest 8 tracks. She loved to laugh, sing, and dance and was easy to love. We will miss her and cherish our memories of her forever. Rest in Peace Auntie. A private service has been held. Thank you to the staff at Holy Family Home for the compassionate and loving care given to Jeannie. Wojcik's Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main Street, Winnipeg, MB in care of arrangements 204.586.8668.
