JOSEF KOSMRLJ On March 25, 2015 at Poseidon Care Center, Josef Kosmrlj passed away peacefully at the age of 81. He is survived by his beloved wife, Verna, and will be lovingly remembered and missed by his daughter, Irene (David), grandchildren, Melanie and Christopher, sisters Vida, Marija, Ela, and brother Miha (Marta), sister-in-law Marlene (Lawrence), brother-in-law Harold (Eva), numerous nieces and nephews in both Canada and Slovenia, and many friends. He was predeceased by his brother Alojz, and his sister Ivanka. Josef was born in Slovenia on September 10, 1933 and immigrated to Canada in 1958. For thirty years he was self-employed as a basement contractor and retired in 1994. Rosary and viewing will be held on Tuesday, March 31 at 9:30 a.m. with a mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church, 95 MacDonald Avenue, with Reverend Father Dados Parrenas officiating. Interment will take place in Green Acres Memorial Gardens. A gathering of family and friends will follow at the church hall. Special thanks to the nurses and staff at Poseidon Care Center.
