Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryERNEST WILLIAM (BILL) GOODRICK JANUARY 21, 1931 MARCH 23, 2015 Bill passed away peacefully on Monday, March 23, 2015 at Concordia Hospital in Winnipeg, MB at 84 years young. Left to survive Bill are his son, Frank (Taylor) Goodrick, Toronto, ON; daughters, Debbie (John Lehner), Prince Albert, SK, Marsha Frohwerk, Winnipeg, MB, Jodi Goodrick (Piet Langstraat) Red Deer, AB; his sister Carroll Brown, Warren, MB; sister-in-law, Maureen Goodrick, Brisbane, AU; grandchildren, David, Chad and Robyn Lehner, Anastasia Goodrick, Michelle Cleland and Donnie Frohwerk; great-grandchildren, Paige and Madisyn Lehner, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Lin (2008); son, Tim (2009); daughter, Michelle (2003); brother, Jim (2014) and son-in-law, Don Frohwerk (2009). Bill enjoyed a lengthy career with the Bank of Montreal, moving his family every few years throughout Saskatchewan and Manitoba before finally settling in Winnipeg. He loved to camp and especially enjoyed his time at the trailer at the lake. Bill enjoyed curling, boating and he loved the news, reading the paper from cover to cover. At Bill's request there will not be a formal service. The family will have a private celebration of Bill's life at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Amant Centre, 440 River Road, Winnipeg, MB R2M 3Z9 or CancerCare Manitoba Foundation, 675 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9. Bill was a favourite friend of MINE AND my Mother and Father which is unusual, as they didn't approve of MOST of my MALE friends. I never thought of him as being "a male friend" - just as a"'BEST friend" and I shall think of him fondly and OFTEN in my rapidly declining years.
