MAUREEN ANNE JOSS (nee SWEENEY) June 1946 - March 2015 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Maureen on Tuesday March 31, 2015 at the Riverview Health Centre. Maureen leaves to cherish her memory husband Paul, three sons Mark, Trevor (Keri) and Dan (Brandy), four beautiful grandchildren Mitchell, Miles, Ashton and Payton, brother Dennis Sweeney, sister Joan Christie (Neil Christie), niece Colleen Christie (Mike), sister- in-law and brother-in-law Sandra and Cornie Friesen, nephew Robert Friesen. Maureen is predeceased by her parents Jack and Anne Sweeney, mother-in-law Anne Joss and niece Amy Christie. She will surely be missed by all. Maureen was a devoted wife to Paul, together they had a love envied by all that was strong and unconditional but most of all they were best friends. Together they were a true reflection of love, loyalty and respect living the true meaning of marriage. As a dedicated mother she raised three wonderful boys teaching them strong values and respect for others. She was patient, caring and was always there with a kind smile and a warm hug. Maureen spent many of her working years with Canada Safeway in between the hectic schedule of raising children. Anyone who came to know Maureen well or just in passing would have known and witnessed the true passion she filled her life with along the way. Maureen especially enjoyed time with family including seasonal weekend visits to the cabin and winter getaways somewhere warm and tropical! Many true friends were made along the way, those who were blessed to know Maureen will certainly have memories they hold dear to heart. Don't let them go as she will be with us always! The family wants to send a sincere thank-you and great appreciation to the staff at Riverview Health Centre for all their efforts and care given to Maureen through her time spent at Riverview and especially during Maureen's last days. In keeping with her wishes a small private family service will be held at a later date In lieu of flowers please send any charitable donations to Winnipeg Harvest Inc.
