Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDOUGLAS PENHALL On Friday, April 3, 2015 Doug passed away at home in Steinbach, at the age of 83. "Young" Doug is survived by his loving wife, Frances, and daughters Debbie (Rossco), Cory-Lynn (Anny), Kimberly (Glen), Jody (Shawn); grandchildren Chad (Tammy), Clayton, Pierce (Nicole), Jenna (Luke), Patrik, Kris (Cayleen), and great-grandchildren Vanessa, Cheston, Jayelle, Emma, Jacob, Tatum, Scarlett, and River. He will also be deeply missed by his sister Gladys, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his siblings Sidney, Leslie and Ivy. Doug was appreciative of being able to enjoy a good retirement at a young age. The cabin he built was the family gathering for everyone where they enjoyed fishing and the peacefulness of the lake. He greatly appreciated the great friendships he had. In following with Doug's wishes no formal services will be held. A private gathering will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6. "See you in Church!" I knew Doug Penhall and his family when I was little. He lived beside my Aunt Fran and Uncle Don Kittle on Townsend in Fort Garry many years ago. I always thought of the family. My sincerest condolences to you Mrs. Penhall and your girls and their families. As a young child living next to the Penhalls on Sherwood always brings back fond memories of you all. My sincerest condolences go out to you Fran, Debbie and your family! I was saddened to read this. I have really excellent memories of your Dad, he was always smiling and laughing!! Tyler Shelby Dean (Manaigre) and I had a seasonal at Tarryall Resort, but spent enjoyable times at the cottage we rented out by your parents. Hugs go out to you both!
