My condolences to all the Haaksmas in Manitoba. Uncle Pete had a great heart and he will be truly missed. He taught me many things while visiting BC and I will always remember the time we spent together renovating the basement at our old house. I'm sure my Dad was there to welcome him home with open arms!! Take care. - Posted by: Rick H (Nephew) on: Apr 09, 2015

We met Pete as one of our first customers and quickly became friends with his family. Pete supported our business consistently. He was always great to deal with and would always promote our business around town. Fond memories of our visits as a family when Pete would tease the boys! We will miss him and extend our condolences to all his family. Rick and Marilyn Potter and family. - Posted by: Rick and Marilyn Potter (friends) on: Apr 08, 2015

We extend our sincere condolences to the Haaksma family on the passing of their husband, father and grandfather, Peter. We knew Pete from our participation in municipal politics and his avid support over the years. Pete was a kind and gentle man who believed in fairness and equal treatment of all. He will be missed by all who knew him. - Posted by: Don & Carolyn Halbert & Family (Friend) on: Apr 08, 2015
