CELIA EVA FLEMING 1928 - 2015 After fighting a battle with numerous medical conditions, it is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our mother on April 2, 2015. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Evelyn (Lone), Gerry (Alicia), Karl (Amy) and Penny, 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her partner Paul Richard; sons, Gary and Wayne; daughter Rhonda; grandsons, Derrick and Eric; and granddaughter Tiffany. Mom was born February 4, 1928 in St. Laurent, MB, where she resided until the age of 14. She then moved to Winnipeg, where she raised her children. In 1997, she returned home to her roots in St. Laurent. Mom always enjoyed telling stories, reminiscing about the good old days and there was always much laughter to be had. Mom was very independent and hardworking. She raised her family on very little money, so she knew how to make a dollar stretch. Mom worked at Eaton's for 22 years and she enjoyed being employed. Mom loved to work in her flowerbeds, sewing and cooking for her family and she kept an immaculate home. She was a mother to the very end worrying about her family and others more so than herself. We love you mom and we will miss you immensely. Funeral service will be held on Friday, April 10, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. Viewing prior to service at 10:30 a.m. at the St. Laurent Roman Catholic Church with Father Dominique Kerbrat officiating. Pallbearers will be Charles Langelier, Ian Fleming, Trevor Allen, Steven Allen, Rick Liberty and Bill Scott. We would like to thank the Ashern Hospital staff and Dr. Emadi for their care and kindness they gave to our mother. We also want to thank all the staff at the St. Laurent Assisted Living Centre for their special care and friendship they gave Mom these past three years.
