SHARON EILEEN MCCORMICK March 24, 1950 April 3, 2015 It is with deepest sadness and broken hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend; Sharon McCormick at the age of 65. Sharon was predeceased by her mother Muriel. Sharon is lovingly remembered by her husband of 46 years, Charles; daughter Michelle (Keith); son Derek (Angela); grandchildren Brenden and Nicholas; father Harry; sisters Nancy (Dave), Ruth (Paul); brother Ross (Melanie). Sharon was born in Winnipeg on March 24, 1950. She was raised in Erickson, Manitoba on the family farm. Sharon attended business college and soon after met and married Chuck, the love of her life. Followed by their two children Michelle and Derek. She and Dad travelled the globe extensively, visiting many countries and taking in all the world had to offer. Hong Kong and Hawaii were always her favorites due to their beauty. After the love of her husband, children, grandchildren and family came the love of her flowers. Sharon always enjoyed a sunshine filled day tending to her garden, one of her greatest passions in life. Sharon always made a house into a home, she took great care in ensuring that all friends and guests felt like family. She loved to entertain and was famous for her lobster parties. YOU WILL BE FOREVER LOVED AND ALWAYS MISSED. Angels Drawing Near No one heard the footsteps Of the angels drawing near Who took from earth to heaven The one we loved so dear But she really hasn't left us Nor has she travelled far She's just in God's beautiful garden And left the gates ajar. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the MS Society. Service will be held on Friday, April 17, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. Condolences & Memories (4 entries)

  • We Bev, Paige and I are sorry for your loss and ours as well. Sharon was a fine, loyal, honest, caring, person. The world is a less friendly place with her passing. I have a great memory of Sharon and Chuck and Bev on our front deck after a day of sight seeing in Nova Scotia, many a laugh ,many a smile. She will not be forgotten. Love to all the Dobsons. - Posted by: mark dobson (friend of Sharon and Chuck) on: Apr 18, 2015

  • Michelle and Keith, sorry to hear about your mom's passing. My thoughts are with you. - Posted by: Laurette L'Heureux (friend) on: Apr 16, 2015

  • I would periodically meet up with "Uncle Chuck" for business, and many times "Aunt Sharon" would later join us. She always greeted me with a big smile and hug, as if I was one of the family. Her warmth and kindness will always be remembered and forever appreciated. - Posted by: Michael (Friend) on: Apr 14, 2015

  • My deepest sympathies are with you at this time of sorrow. - Posted by: Mavis Puchlik (Friend of Keith and Michelle) on: Apr 11, 2015
