Dear Pastula family… My sincerest sympathies on the passing of your dear mother. I remember as a very loving person, always enjoying hearing about the activities of her children and grandchildren. She loved to laugh and loved to be teased. I remember her sitting at the kitchen table in her little house working on her latest crossword puzzle and talking about the progress of her vegetable garden. I think of her when I make her recipes she shared for chocolate zucchini cake and lazy man’s cabbage rolls. She also had an amazing memory for the weather in any particular year and also was able to recall which townspeople were related to whom, married to whom and split up with whom.
