DAVID (DAVE) WIEBE After a lengthy illness, we regret to announce the passing of David "Dave" Wiebe, on Friday, April 10, 2015, at the age of 77 years. He is survived by his wife Cheryl-Dawn; son Robert (Diane) and their family, Jordyn (Joel) - Dave's great-granddaughter Charlie Liss -, Nicholas, Connor; and daughter Lori (Ron) Dubinsky and their family, Austin, Reed, Merek. Also two brothers, three sisters, four sisters-in-laws, plus extended family and friends. He was predeceased by his late wife Elaine and infant son Jefferey, his parents, three brothers, four brothers-in-law and one sister-in-law. He was born on the farm in Plum Coulee, then moved in late 1938 with the family to Horndean and Cartwright, where he grew up. When he left home, he moved on to Brandon to work where he met his first wife Elaine. They moved to Winnipeg, where they raised their family and he continued his work in sales. In 1999, after 38 years of marriage, Elaine passed away. Dave then married Cheryl-Dawn in 2003, with whom he spent his remaining years. In the end, he enjoyed the fellowship of AA and 23 years of sobriety. The family would like to thank the staff at Comforts of Home and the Palliative Care Unit at Riverview Centre. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to your favourite charity. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 16, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. Interment to follow.
