REINE LAMBERT (nee ARPIN) We are saddened to announce the peaceful passing of our dear p'tite Mère, at the age of 95, on Tuesday, April 14, 2015, surrounded by the love of her children. Mom was born on July 10, 1919. She was the last surviving member of the Joseph and Anna (Morin) Arpin family. She was predeceased by her loving husband Lucien in 2004. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her five children: Robert (Denise Normandeau), Monique (John Kowaliuk), Nicole (Maurice Gagne), Colette (Robert Gagnon), and Michel; eleven grandchildren and their spouses, and thirteen great-grandchildren, who affectionately called her "Mémère Lou". Mom loved to entertain friends and family. She enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren and spent many hours knitting. The family would like to thank the staff at the Chalet Malouin in St. Malo and the Repos Jolys in St. Pierre-Jolys for their care and compassion during Mom's final years. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. at the St. Malo Roman Catholic Church, with a video tribute beginning at 2:30 p.m. Interment of ashes to follow. Our tears turn to smiles knowing Mom and Dad are together again. Arrangements by BIRCHWOOD FUNERAL CHAPEL 1-204-346-1030 OR 1-888-454-1030

  • Loved all the times I got to go spend Saturday evenings watching Pépère and I's favorite hockey team "Les Canadiens de Montréal" on Hockey Night in Canada and Mémère would make us popcorn and watch us while she was knitting something. She was such a great cook, we would fight to take turns going to have lunch with them on Sundays after church, such great memories! I'll miss you, until we meet again, love you Mémère Lou and give my love to Pépère Lou as well! - Posted by: Carole Lambert-Ward (Granddaughter) on: Apr 17, 2015
