I have wonderful childhood memories of many visits with Bob, Mona, and the Rutherford clan at our family farm at Poplar Point and the Rutherford farm at Stonewall. Those visits were characterized by animated conversations on a wide range of topic, endless laughter and storytelling, and wondrous meals and fellowship. Mona's sparkling eyes could light up the room. As a young adult, I also stayed in the Rutherford home at the start of my career. I will long remember Mona as a gracious host, a loving wife and parent, a committed member of her community, and a caring family friend.
