HENOCH PETRUS METZKER It is with heavy hearts and deep sadness we announce the sudden passing of Henoch Petrus Metzker on April 19, 2015. Henny was born to Ernest and Adel Metzker on January 28, 1971 in Winnipeg, Manitoba; beloved son, brother, uncle, great-uncle and friend. He was predeceased by his father Ernest Metzker, brothers Daniel and Noah Metzker, and great-niece Melody Hallett. Henny will be dearly missed by his mother Adel Metzker, nephew Daniel Metzker, siblings Ruth, David and Samuel Metzker, and many other family and friends. Even though Henny was diagnosed with schizophrenia at the age of 18 he was fond of a family gathering or social event. Henny also enjoyed the company of Lily and Coco, the family dogs. Henny was very helpful with cooking and cleaning. He held an honest opinion and was happy to share what he had. A viewing will take place Monday, April 27, 2015 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Klassen Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 also at Klassen Funeral Home, 1897 Henderson Hwy. Henny's pallbearers will be David Metzker, Samuel Metzker, Dan Cathro, Justin Metzker, Tyler Hofer and Darwin Hallett. "So do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand" Isaiah 41:10 KLASSEN FUNERAL HOME 1897 HENDERSON HWY. 204-338-0331 Condolences may be sent to www.klassenfuneralhome.com

Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • I was so sorry to here about Henny's passing. I remember coming by the house often and he was just a little tyke wanting to hang around with his older brothers and the cool kids :) Far too young to be gone. While I have not seen any of the family in over 30 years, I still have great memories of growing up with everyone. My thoughts are with all of you. I wish I could be there to support you all on Tuesday, however Nunavut is a bit of a long trip. Take care everyone. - Posted by: Cathy Taillom (family friend) on: Apr 25, 2015
