To Those I Love and Those Who Love Me When I am gone, release me let me go. I have so many things to see and do, You mustn't tie yourself to me with tears; Be happy that we had so many years. I gave you my love, you can only guess How much you gave to me in happiness. I thank you for the love you have shown, But now it's time I travel on alone. So grieve a while for me, if grieve you must; Then let your grief be comforted by trust. It's only for a little while that we must part, So bless the memories within your heart. I won't be far away, for life goes on; So if you need me, call and I will come. Though you can't see or touch me, I'll be near, and if you listen with your heart, you'll hear, All of my love around you soft and clear. And then, when you must come this way alone, I'll greet you with a smile and say "Welcome Home". Condolences & Memories (13 entries)

  • I was so sorry to hear of Maria's passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you Fred, Jamie and Stewart and family. Maria and I go way back to when she shared an apartment on Tylehurst with Bev. I remember Maria didn't want to have to take her sewing to her mom so I showed her how to use stictch witchery to iron on and hem her pants. Maria and I also worked together at the Bestlands report centre and again when she worked paying the employee expenses at MTS. She use to remind me that I was way older than she was. She was born 12 days after me. Maria was always a great person to be around. She will be missed and thought of often. - Posted by: Fay Salkus (former co-worker) on: Jun 04, 2015

  • Thoughts and prayers to you Fred and your family! I have many fond memories of Maria from our MTS days! She was so much fun and we enjoyed so many laughs together! Most recently I shared some of my stories with my daughter and how we had many lunchtime speed walks to the library downtown! Lots of fun, that's what I will remember! - Posted by: Char & Darren Corlett (Friend & Past Co-worker) on: May 15, 2015

  • I'm so sorry to hear of your loss Jamey and wish there was something I could say or do to make it easier. I only met your mother once and was impressed at how vibrant and cheerful she was, after just a five minute conversation. Kindest regards Jamey, Ray (Josh's Mom). - Posted by: Raymonde Marchand () on: May 04, 2015

  • I remember having our Christmas gift exchanges at the extended family gatherings. There'd be do many people there that we'd rent a hall or book a room at a restaurant. I can remember Maria laughing and everyone around her having so much fun while she was there. You will be missed Aunt Maria. Our thoughts and prayers of comfort are with the family. - Posted by: Lisa (Bigelow) & Caleb Shortt (Great Niece) on: May 03, 2015

  • We have such fond memories of Maria when our boys were growing up. In past years we saw each other only sporadically, but when we did we talked and laughed as if no time had passed at all. Maria had the most wonderful sense of humour. Our thoughts and prayers are with Maria's family and to all who loved and will miss her. - Posted by: Loreen and Phil Froese (Friends) on: May 01, 2015

  • To Fred, Jamie, Stewart and the Pynenburg family: I am so shocked and extremely saddened to hear of Maria's recent passing. During my many years, as part of the family, I always enjoyed her wonderful sense of humour and smile. She was full of life and laughter and could light up a room with her presence. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved her. You are all in my heart and my thoughts and I hope that your wonderful memories will give you great comfort in the difficult days ahead. My sincerest condolences. - Posted by: Laurie Stevens (Friend) on: Apr 29, 2015

  • So many memories of growing up together in Stony Mountain; then as young adults camping at Hecla before it was even open, 3 sleepless days in Las Vegas; losing touch over the years only to reconnect at our Elementary School Reunion a few years ago. Maria's laughter was infectious her kindness ever there. My condolences to everyone who loved her ..May you find comfort in memories....Dorothy Kaytor (Jansen) - Posted by: Dorothy Kaytor (childhood friend) on: Apr 29, 2015

  • Worked with Maria for many years at MTS and we became good friends. I actually purchased Maria's baby crib way back when. Enjoyed her smile and just her outlook on life. - Posted by: Dale and Bob Miller (Friend) on: Apr 29, 2015
