  • I became a patient of Dr. Gelley soon after immigrating to Canada in 1956 and remained his patient until very close to his retirement. Over the years, we developed a friendship and I remember our lunches at the Eaton's Grill Room restaurant and later the restaurant in Portage Place, while my office, the newsroom of the Winnipeg Free Press, was still on Carlton Street. I also remember one or two visits my wife and I and our West Highland White Terrier Bess enjoyed at the Gelley cottage in Victoria Beach. Our thoughts will be with the family on May 6 during the celebration of Fraser's life. We a l l suffered a loss with his passing. - Posted by: Manfred Jager (Patient and friend) on: May 05, 2015

  • To Mrs. Gelley and Family, Dr. Gelley was my dentist for many years and he was the best Dentist I ever had. When ever I had to go and see him, he always made me feel very relaxed and he always treated me with a lot of respect. I for one will, truly miss him. You and your family have my deepest sympathy. I am truly very sorry for your loss. Sincerely Yours Diane Lindsay - Posted by: Diane Earley- Lindsay (Dr. Gelley was the best Dentist I ever had, I truly will miss him. • My loving thoughts and prayers are with Joie and family. I deeply appreciated Fraser's presence at King family gatherings over the past years whenever I returned to Manitoba for a visit. He was definitely a strong connection to my mother's side of our family and he will be missed. May he rejoice in his new life with God. - Posted by: Mary Ellen King (Cousin) on: May 01, 2015
