CLAUDE CLOVIS RIVARD The family would like to announce the peaceful passing of Claude, Clovis Rivard, beloved husband, father, proud pépère, loving brother, uncle and dearest friend, on Wednesday, April 29, 2015, after a courageous battle with cancer. Claude is survived by his devoted and loving wife Laurette of 42 years, children Michel (Bea), Carole (Alan) and his pride and joy Nicholas and Natacha, his brother Lionel (Yvette) Rivard, sister Georgette (Gerald) Rozière, brother-in-law Maurice (Linda) Laramée, sister-in-law Lauraine Timmerman as well as his nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends. Claude was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Marguerite Rivard (née Perron), sister Yolande, great-nephew Jeremy Rivard, in-laws Omer and Eugenie Laramée (née Sabot) and brother-in-law Ronald Timmerman. The family would like to thank Dr. Duerksen and Dr. Reimer, the Palliative Care Unit and CancerCare for their incredible dedication compassion and personal service and care they so often demonstrated. And a very special thank you to Claude's nephew Richard Rivard for the exceptional care and sincerity provided. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, 162 Hwy. 52 W, Steinbach, MB. Ash interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Claude may be made to the Southern Health-Santé Sud. (In cheque memo line: Bethesda Regional Health Centre-Palliative Care Unit). I cried when you passed away. I still cry today. Although I loved you dearly, I couldn't make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest.
