ALICE PROULX (nee PRETEAU) Alice Proulx (nee Preteau), aged 95, passed away peacefully Saturday, May 2, 2015 at Actionmarguerite - Foyer Valade with her family at her bedside. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Ann Young, Lenore Proulx, Laurent Proulx, Cecile (Neil) Goertzen, Doris (Wendell) Sutherland, and Guy (Brenda) Proulx. She is also survived by many special grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, as well as many special nieces and nephews. Alice was predeceased by her husband Ernest Proulx, daughter Grace Proulx, son Luc Proulx, sons-in-law Gerry Young, Ken Strong, granddaughter Lana Warren, and great-grandson Magnus Hay. Alice married Ernest Proulx on April 16, 1939. They resided in St. Malo before moving to Transcona in 1949. Alice stayed home to raise her family. She enjoyed visiting friends and family, loved bingo and occasionally the casino. She had a passion for watching wrestling on TV as well as her favourite talk shows. Alice was an active member of the Catholic Church belonging to the Ladies Auxiliary for many, many years. She will be missed by all who knew her. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Foyer Valade for their excellent care. Funeral service for Alice will be on Saturday, May 9 at 3:00 p.m. at Notre Dame de L'Assumption Church - 609 Leola Street with Father Léonce Aubin officiating.
