TARCISIO ARCHIE SPAGNUT November 16, 1933 - April 29, 2015 It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our father Tarcisio Archie Spagnut at the Charleswood Personal Care Centre on Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at the age of 81. Left to cherish his memory are his loving children: son Larry Lorenzo Spagnut (Graziella) and daughter Tamy Grazia Cummings (Glenn). He was predeceased by the love of his life, wife Anna Maria Spagnut. Tarcisio worked at Suncor Oil in Fort McMurray, Alberta as a supervisor for over 39 years and truly loved his job. His favourite pastime was fishing and enjoying nature. We would like to extend our gratitude to our family, friends and the Charleswood Personal Care Centre for their love, support and prayers. There will be a service followed by entombment on Saturday, May 9, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Assumption Cemetery and Queen Heaven Mausoleum, 3390 Portage Ave. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 200-310 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB R3C 0S6 or the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6. Condolences & Memories (5 entries)

  • Robert and I both worked with Archie. I will never forget the great stories he told about the construction of the plant and his willingness to share information. In a time when there weren't many women working in the plant, Archie was a true gentleman and I will always remember him warmly. Robert worked with him in operations and remembers his stories of fishing down at the river... and ... the bear. We just learned of his passing and wish to send his family our condolences. Archie truly loved his work, and he was a mentor to so many of us. Coleen West and Robert Olivier - Posted by: Coleen West and Robert Olivier (Coworkers) on: May 09, 2019

  • I had the pleasure of working with Archie in early 1990s. I shared ice cream with him on a roadside curb outside Suncor kitchen. Many times. His wisdom and insightfulness lead to many of my future successes. He was a generational icon. And I am proud that I recognized the wisdom he freely gave.
