MYRTLE ANNA MATHILDA JONES 1920 - 2015 It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Myrtle Jones on May 5, 2015. Myrtle was the oldest of four girls brought into this world by Signar and Alona Nystrom; she was born in Woodlea, Manitoba on September 1, 1920. Mom was predeceased by her husband Lyndon Grant on August 27, 2000; her mother and father, and sister Daphne Paton. She is survived by her two sisters, Lorraine Bonnet and Florence Jacques. Those of you, who knew her, will always remember her for her unabridged love for her family. She will be missed by her five children and their spouses, Lyndon, Kenneth (Mary), Alona (Fred), Owen (Mary Jean), and Russell. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; Christina (Liam and Alexander), Jennifer, Angela (Noah, Montana and Aiden), Tammy (Carter and Sydney), Grace, Carson (Bailey, Sidney and Paton), Shawna (Trey and Ashley), Ryan (Jase), Tiana (Skylar and Rylan), Kyle (Martini), Timothy and Brendon. The family wishes to thank Park Manor for their care over the past three years. We also wish to express our appreciation for the care provided to Mom over the past couple of weeks at the Concordia Hospital, thank you Dr. Ziomek and all staff of 2 East. Memorial service will be held on May 11, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. Interment will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. A gathering of family and friends will be held in the Chapel Lawn Reception Centre.
