GREG AUDLEY After a long, courageous and well fought battle with cancer, Greg passed away with family at his side. Greg was predeceased by his parents Cliff and Irene Audley. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife Roberta, sister Lois (Hal), children Dustin (Ashleigh), Alexis (Curt), Kristian, stepchildren Cory, Launa, Stephen (Meredith), grandchildren Preston, Logan, Owen, Hannah, Victoria and nephew Greg. Greg was a great son, brother, father and uncle. He was also a loving husband and a good friend. Greg will be fondly remembered for his love of life, kind heart and generosity for those he held dearly. He was always known to tell corny jokes that seemed to get more elaborate with each drink of his favorite beverage, tequila. Greg loved the outdoors and always looked forward to his annual fishing, hunting and Vegas trips with the boys. In the summer, Greg and Roberta would enjoy camping and fishing on Lake of the Woods and Lake of the Prairies. In the winter they were off to a hot destinations, many times seeing the world while cruisin. Many thanks to Dr. Butler, who Greg threatened to take off of his Christmas card list because he was always the bearer of bad news, and Drs. Gingrich and Czaykowski at CancerCare Manitoba and staff for their care and Dr. Goytan who gave Greg more time to work on his bucket list. A memorial service will take place on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at 2:30 p.m. at Neil Bardal Funeral Centre, 3030 Notre Dame Avenue (across from Brookside Cemetery). Good Night My Love, you will always be missed. NEIL BARDAL FUNERAL CENTRE 204-949-2200 neilbardalinc.com

  • We are saddened to hear about Greg's passing. We met Greg and Roberta a few summers ago at a beautiful campground in Kenora. After getting to talking for a while,it turned out he knew my Dad.Small world. In the brief time we got to know him, We both felt so comfortable with him, as if we've known him for years. The most memorable thing I have was at the campground, Greg climbing a ladder to make sure the Blue Bomber Flag was proudly hung at the top of that flag pole.Thank you Greg for coming into our lives for the time we were there camping. You will be very missed.Rest in Peace Chris & Candace - Posted by: Chris &Candace Kruger (Friend) on: Jun 20, 2015

  • I am very sorry to hear of Greg's passing and want to wish his family and his sister Lois my condolences in this time of sorrow. As Lois's best friend in our teens, Greg was the hunky big brother who teased us endlessly. His life was cut short far too soon and may all your memories of him be treasured forever. • When we were young, I always looked up to you as my older, funny and, oh so handsome cousin. You were always the life of the party at every family gathering, entertaining us with your stories and infectious laugh. Sadly life got more serious when you became ill, but you never faltered, you always remained positive, hopeful, accepting your fate gracefully without self pity. I got to visit you often when you were in the hospital and I would always leave feeling inspired. I feel so blessed to have known you. You fought so hard to stay, but now its time to rest.....luv you! - Posted by: Carolyn Garlinski (Cousin) on: May 11, 2015

  • Greg was like a brother to me, he was my boss, but most importantly, he was a very dear friend of mine - he was like the brother I never had. We laughed together, worked together, partied together, got mad at each other, but at the end of the day he truly was a "gentle giant". I will always hold Greg close to my heart, because he made a huge impression in my journey of life. "Rest in peace My Friend" - Posted by: Peter Bousquet (Dear friend & employee) on: May 10, 2015

  • Greg and I were best friends from 1962-71. Two little boys growing up on Home St. It was a world of Freezies and comic books, slot cars and tin can cricket. Saturday movies, riding the monkey trails, chips and a coke at Eaton's. The Audley's were a fine family and I was very blessed to have had them in my life.
