PATRICIA RUTH HILDING (nee MCCOURT) It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of Patricia Ruth Hilding (nee McCourt). On Tuesday, April 28, 2015, after a lengthy struggle with Alzheimer's disease, Patricia passed away with her family by her side. She was 85 years old. Patricia is lovingly remembered by her husband Lennart Axel Hilding; daughter Roberta Leigh and son-in-law Ovie Desrochers; five treasured grandchildren, Sarah Patricia (Todd), Stephen (Nicole), Chelsea (Vern), Colin (Jamie) and Ian (Jennifer); and also 13 great-grandchildren. Patricia was predeceased by her son Patric Hilding on May 15, 1989; her sister Lois Byman on May 9, 1962; and by her parents Bertha and Robert McCourt. Patricia was born on August 24, 1929 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Patricia and Len were married on May 19, 1950 and would have celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary this month. Patricia was a devoted wife and mother. She loved cottage life at Victoria Beach and gave her family countless happy memories there. Patricia was outgoing, talented and enjoyed many activities with her family and friends. She loved dotting on her family's dogs, playing cards, bridge, needlepoint, talking on the phone and everything Irish. A private family funeral service and interment was held on May 7, 2015 at Green Acres Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made in Patricia's memory to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba. We wish to thank all the staff at Vista Park Lodge for their love, care and kindness shown to our beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Aunt and Dear Friend.
