Don, you hired me at the ripe old age of 17. You were my boss then a trusted coworker and eventually I ventured away from Gardewine and you became my business contact (my go to guy!) but through the years the most important thing you were was my friend! You will be missed. - Posted by: Mike Shust (Friend / coworker/business) on: May 15, 2015

Don was such a great person to work with on my trips to Winnipeg. Not a visit would go by that he didn't invite me into his office just to catch up. I am so sorry to learn of his passing, and I will miss his deep industry knowledge, his can-do attitude, and most of all his friendship. Please accept our deepest condolences from all at Carrier Logistics in New York. - Posted by: Ben Wiesen (Business Associate) on: May 14, 2015

So sorry for the loss of your dad and husband, he is a great man and I enjoyed talking with him over the years and learning how to shoot my bebe gun ;) with him, enjoying a cool one. He looked at me after shooting a target and said to me, my family will never starve...lol...he had a great shot! - Posted by: Desiree Gillespie (Buors) (neighbour) on: May 13, 2015
