JOHN WIENS John Wiens was called home to be with his Lord on Monday, May 11, 2015. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and a friend to many and will be dearly missed. John passed away at the Deer Lodge Centre, Winnipeg, MB. He lived most recently in Lindenwood Manor in Winnipeg and prior to that in Oak Bluff and on the farm near Sanford, MB. John was born May 1, 1920 in Lindenau, Russia and moved to Canada with his family when he was a young boy. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Anne (nee Epp), five children: Bob, Ken (Tilly), Albert (Theresa), Art (Val), and Janet (Grant); 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. The Celebration of John's Life will be held on Friday, May 15, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Glenlea Mennonite Church, 15 km. south of Winnipeg on Highway 75. Viewing will take place at the church prior to the service. Interment to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Envision Community Living, 84 Brandt Street, Steinbach, MB R5G 0E1. The family wishes to thank the staff at the Deer Lodge Centre, Lodge 4 East, for the wonderful care and attention they provided.
