HERMAN (HARRY) BREITKREITZ Harry passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 14, 2015 at the Ashern Personal Care Home with his wife Margaret and sisters Evelyn Kohut and Carol Perry at his side. Harry was born on February 7, 1927 on the family farm which his parents, in June 1914, had come to live. Harry worked all his life on the farm until he and Margaret moved to Ashern in 1999. Harry was proud of his Water Stewardship plaque he received for 52 years working in the Manitoba Commercial Fisherman's Industry. He was predeceased by his parents Herman and Bertha Breitkreitz; his brothers and sisters Emilie, Wilhelm, Ewald, Eric, Emma Brown, Ida Reynolds, Gustav Rhinald (Roy) and Ruth Redford. Left to mourn are his wife Margaret; sisters Martha Meisner, Evelyn Kohut and Carol Perry, along with numerous nieces and nephews and many good friends. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at the Moosehorn Hall with Pastor Bill Watson officiating. Viewing to be held one hour prior to the service at the hall. Interment to be held in the Good Hope Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brent Kohut, Rodney Brown, Ron Meisner, Darrel Bauch, Clayton Brown and Dale Redford. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Harry's memory to a charity of one's choice. A thank you to our many friends and family who took time to visit Harry. These visits always made our day. Also to the doctors, nurses and staff of both the Lakeshore General Hospital and Ashern Personal Care Home for the wonderful care they gave to both Harry and Margaret.
