Born: Nov 26, 1932
Date of Passing: May 12, 2015
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRUSSELL THOMPSON LLOYD MCKENNY November 26, 1932 - May 12, 2015 Russ left us unexpectedly on the evening of May 12, 2015. He was 82 years young. He leaves to mourn sisters Frances (Paul), Lillian, and his brother Ralph. He was predeceased by parents Robert and Helen, brother Robert, nieces Glenda and Penny, and four sisters in infancy. Through conversations with Russ, one can say that he lived a full life. He was a service veteran and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion for 39 years. During his early days he travelled extensively and enjoyed many adventures. His middle years found him back home to look after his beloved mother and to settle into a career with the Fresh Water Fisheries until his retirement. His later years were golden as he reconnected with family. He had a caring nature and a real genuine interest in everyone's life. He was a special brother, uncle and friend. Thank you to Doctors Li and Anderson for the quality of care you have provided during the years and to the Grace Hospital staff who always treated him with the respect he deserved. At his request there will be no service. Interment will follow at a later date. Donations, if desired, can be made to the charity of one's choice or to the Grace Hospital. A heart of gold stopped beating, hard working hands went to rest, God took you home to prove to us, He only takes the best. Heartaches in this world are many, but losing you was worse than any. It will be lonely here without you, we will miss you more each day, for life will not be the same for us, since you've been called away. We will always remember the way you looked, the way you walked and smiled, all the things you did for us, will be with us all the while, you always did your best, your heart was true and tender, you lived your life for those you loved, And those you loved will remember.
