She grew up on a farm and in the city. While on the farm she loved horses. Growing up in the city she participated in many school sports. She ran like the wind taking first place in the Junior and Collegiate (A) Girls 60 and 70 yard dashes. In adulthood she continued to participate in sports activities with family and friends and was conservatively proud of her over 300 and perfect games in 5 pin bowling. She spent most of her working years at Eaton's where she met good friends and continued to golf and meet with, even after retirement. She travelled to Europe, enjoyed an Alaskan cruise and spent many great moments with her husband and family in their motor home. Her family was important to her as she prepared many great meals and hosted many parties, cherishing family get-togethers and visits. She loved to read and play cards. Special thanks to the staff at Sturgeon Creek I Retirement Residence, the doctor and very kind 5th floor day nurse at the Grace Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Manitoba Lung Association. Celebration of her life will be held at the Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, Manitoba on Friday, May 22, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. For those who wish to sign the online Guest Book please visit our website.
