Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryELIZABETH (BETTY) BERGLUND May 28, 1933 - May 16, 2015 Peacefully on Saturday, May 16, Elizabeth Jean Berglund, nee Donald, passed away at Grace Hospital. Betty is survived by her husband Leonard, son Dale (Marie), grandsons David (Devon) and Kevin, brother David "Bob" Donald (Lona), sisters-in-law Elsie Wood (Gerald), Gladys Purvis, brother-in-law Ron Berglund (Bette), and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents Dave and Jean Donald and son Glen. Betty worked as a typist/secretary for several companies in Saskatoon, Ottawa, Summerside and Winnipeg, finishing her working career as an Executive Secretary with Manitoba Telephones. Betty enjoyed music and dance. She taught tap and ballet in Gimli, Ottawa and Summerside. Together with Len, they became avid square and round dancers. They eventually discovered American Clogging and introduced it to Winnipeg and several other communities through the Red River Cloggers. Thank you to Dr. George and staff at Grace Hospital, and staff at Charleswood Care Home for the care they gave to Betty over the past eight months. A Viewing will be Thursday, May 21, 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. A Funeral Service will be held at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home on Friday, May 22 at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow. For those who wish to sign the online Guest Book please visit our website. It was the Red River Cloggers that brought us togetter . Len you & Betty have left us with fond memories. We will always be gratefull to you, and will always remember Betty as one of the special persons we have ever met.
