SHIRLEY BUNCE It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Shirley Bunce, on May 17, 2015. Shirley leaves behind her son Jim and daughter Jackie-Lynne (Henri). Her great-grandchildren, Chloe and Abby; grandchildren, Christine (Kevin), Terri-Lynne (Randy), Jeff (Krizsia) and their mother Val Bunce; Amanda and John (father Joe Dass). Shirley has been retired for many years. Before her retirement, she worked for 25 years at Trimac Transportation as an Admin Assistant. Shirley enjoyed a large part of her retirement at the family cabin with her husband John, her family, and their many cherished friends. Shirley was a huge fan of curling, and for many years she and John were frequent bonspiel attendees. She also loved their trips to the Shooting Star Casino for some fun and games. She was someone you could count on for a good conversation and a good laugh. Today we invite you to join us in saying thank you for moments we have shared together; the laughs, lessons, friendships, and memories her life brought to us all that will inevitability link us forever. A private service will be held by the family and a celebration of life will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the Manitoba Alzheimer Society. The family would also like to extend heartfelt thanks to the staff at the Fred Douglas Lodge for their tremendous care and support. I was so sorry to learn of your mom’s passing. I was just sitting here thinking of your mother and looked her up. Even though it’s been so many years since I’ve seen your family (the ‘60’s) I still have fond memories of you all. My mom, who passed in August of 2012, adored your mom, so no doubt they’ve been having a good time catching up. My belated condolences. It is almost a year. I was thinking about Shirley and by chance came upon her obituary. I worked with Shirley for many years and always cherished our relationship. I am saddened to hear that she is gone but know she brightened so many lives. Certainly mine. Thinking of Jim and Jackie-Lynne - Posted by: Wayne Kaldestad (Friend & co worker ) on: Apr 30, 2016

I always enjoyed working with Shirley. She was a classy lady with style and was someone to share confidences with because she gave great advice. Condolences to the family. - Posted by: Mary Schultz (Friend/coworker ) on: May 25, 2015

I remember going to your house when Uncle was still alive and especially at Christmas. Although our families drifted apart I always thought of you as my auntie. Being a nurse I know that you are at peace and in the arms of our Lord. I am sorry we didn't see each other much but I always loved you and had fond memory's. My thoughts and prayers are with the family. - Posted by: Joan Kozub nee Roberts (neice) on: May 23, 2015
