Tina was one of my mother's closest sisters. They both enjoyed cooking and baking. Mom and Tina each claimed that one baked the best Bread while the other baked the best Buns. I remember spending time in Sperling with Tina, Issac and our fourth brother Murray for my birthday and Aunt Tina asking me what kind of cake I would want for my Birthday Cake. As I wasn't a real cake person I chose a sponge cake, which was promptly baked and decorated. Our cousin Murray considered us three Wiebe boys as his brothers. Once when asked if we would spend the night Mom asked Tina, since we we so rambunctious, if we wasn't scared we would kill him since we played pretty rough. In later life we learned that Tina also used to play a little guitar and the mouth organ. We really enjoyed some of our visits with her when we brought the guitar and she would play a short tune on the mouth organ. It was so refreshing to see how much she still enjoyed that music. We will miss her soft cheeks, her bright smile and that beautiful soft head of pretty white hair. - Posted by: Bob Wiebe (Nephew) on: Jun 01, 2015
