WILLIAM ALFRED KIRKUP It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our father, grandfather and great-grandfather on June 3, 2015 at Concordia Hospital at the age of 95. He leaves to mourn his memory; sons, Barry and Glenn (Jasmine), daughter Crystal (Sid), six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. His father was Jim Kirkup born in Liverpool, England January 1879 and his mother was Bertha Elizabeth Inman born in Liverpool 1891. Alf was born in Teulon, MB and lived in Gunton later moving to Winnipeg, where he met and married his wife Irene of over 50 years. He was employed as a bus driver for Winnipeg Transit for 35 years. Funeral service will be held on Sunday, June 7 at 2:00 p.m. at Green Acres Memorial Gardens with interment to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations in William's name may be made to the Alzheimer's Society of Manitoba, 193 Sherbrook Street Winnipeg, MB R3C 9Z9.
