DOLORES MARJORIE ADELINE BJORNSON (nee BARDARSON) It is with heavy hearts that we announce that Dolores peacefully passed away on June 1, 2015, at the Arborg and District Health Centre, with family by her side. Dolores will be dearly missed by her loving husband Stefan (Stebbi), of 49 years. She also leaves to mourn her passing, son Jeff (Liz); daughters, Tammy (Danny Einarson) and Serena (Mathew Bubenzer); grandchildren, Hogan, Hannah (Ryan) and Amber Bjornson, Tanner and Halley Einarson, and stepgrandson Tyler; brothers and sisters-in-law, Connie Bardarson, Peggy (Barry) Gudmundson, Buddy (Dorothy) Bjornson, Irvin (Shelly) Bjornson, and Kathy Bjornson, and numerous nieces and nephews whom she adored. She is predeceased by her mother and father, Nellie and Edgar Bardarson; grandmother Katharina Tucker; brother Gordon Bardarson; parents-in-law, Anne and Halli Bjornson; sister-in-law Sylvia Bjornson and her daughter Beverley; and brother-in-law Halli Bjornson. Mom was born on March 18, 1946. She grew up in Hnausa, attended high school in Riverton, and after graduating from Teacher's College, married the love of her life in 1965. In 1974, they moved just west of Riverton, where they raised our family, and began grain farming. Mom was known for her bottomless pot of coffee, delicious baking and her green thumb. Mom was our strength and inspiration, and maintained independence and grace even in her final days. The family would like to thank the IRHA staff for their caring support over the past year and in her final moments with us. A service will be held on Monday, June 8, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Geysir Hall, with Pastor Schenk officiating.
