ALICE BRANDT Alice Brandt, aged 87, passed away peacefully with her beloved husband, Walter by her side holding her hand. Alice and the love of her life Walter, were married for 62 years. They enjoyed many road trips together and especially loved travelling through the mountains. Alice was a talented seamstress and worked at Western Garment for many years. She loved sewing her own clothes as well as shirts and pants for Walter. She even did alterations for some of her neighbors. Alice truly loved nature. There were many flowers, greenery, birdhouses and birdbaths that encompassed the yard. Walter loved giving his sweetie a dozen red roses every year on her birthday her favorite flowers! Alice had a heart of gold and left a lasting impression on anyone who met her. She was kind, gentle, soft-spoken and always had a big smile on her face. Everyone loved her! Alice was very faith-filled and even during difficult times in her life when she battled cancer and dementia, she maintained a very positive and loving attitude. Walter was always by her side and loved her so much. He spent every day with her for the past year and a half when she was at Misericordia Hospital then at Riverview Health Centre. Rest in peace sweet lady! A big thank you to all the staff at Riverview Health Centre who treated her with dignity and love! In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Riverview Health Centre Foundation in her name. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 17 at 10:00 a.m. at Klassen Funeral Home, 1897 Henderson Highway, Winnipeg, Manitoba.
