Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBERNARD PETER SMITH June 1, 1947 - June 9, 2015 It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Bernie. Left to mourn his passing are his wife Rae; sons Jeff (Christiane), and Stephen (Melina); grandsons Theo, Elliott, and Arlo; sister Bernice; brothers Bob, Ed, Bill; and many nieces and nephews. Bernie worked for Manitoba Hydro for 39 years. The ultimate joy in his life were his grandsons who brought him so much joy and always left him smiling. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Glen Eden Cemetery, 4477 Main Street. Many thanks to the Winnipeg Fire and Paramedics services and the staff of Concordia Emergency. Bernie's Family, Bernie had a quiet, calm and serene approach to his work at Hydro. During his years in the HVDC department I always found him courteous, friendly and of course most competent.
