MARLENE MARGARET WATCHER (nee WILSON) Marlene passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 9th, 2015 after a lengthy illness at Calvary Place. Marlene was born on November 22nd 1941 in Virden, Manitoba. Marlene was predeceased by her parents William and Clara and her sister Mary (Harold). She leaves to cherish her memory her loving and devoted partner of 33 years Walter Skinner (Bud) and her children Raelene and Michael, her grandchildren Danielle and Riley. Marlene spent many years working for Stats Canada and loved her coworkers dearly. A special thank you to her Stats friends who visited her often during the last year, especially Donnalynn and Debra. Marlene loved going on her gambling and shopping trips to the States. She always brought home bags and bags of gifts and clothing for her grandchildren who called her La La. Marlene was devoted to the many pets who she loved dearly. Marlene was an avid reader and gardener. She would spend hours reading in the backyard during a beautiful summer day. As per her request cremation has taken place. It was Marlene's wish to not have a funeral service. In lieu of flowers people are encouraged to make a donation to the Humane Society, 45 Hurst Way, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3T 9Z9 or a shelter of your choice in her name. Goodbye LA LA. You will be loved and missed always. NEIL BARDAL FUNERAL CENTRE 204-949-2200 neilbardalinc.com
