JANE PENNER Heaven welcomed Jane Penner (nee Dyck), lovingly known as mom and grandma, on June 12, 2015 at Donwood Personal Care Home in Winnipeg. Mom always planned ahead for the changes of life and Donwood was the place she wished to spend her final days because of their excellent care. Mom's plans also included eternity and she talked to Jesus daily to thank Him for His great mercy and many kindnesses. She reflected often on Psalm 103 and talked to Jesus about her family and friends. Others are there with her because of those prayers and now she eagerly awaits the rest of us to follow. Mom spent her life making sure those around her knew that they were loved... especially her family. We mourn our loss but celebrate her life and happiness with the Lord. Jane leaves to mourn her children: Monique married to Jane's son, Kurt (predeceased) and Kurt's children Nathan (Julia), Jocelyn, Andrea (Mark) and daughter Pavlina; son, Paul (Sharon) and children April, Justin (Brenda) and son Julian; daughter Roberta (Gerard) and children - Crystal, Joel (Anne) and son Zachary, daughter Libby; and Evan (fiancée Trista). Jane was predeceased by her husband Nick in 1982 and son Kurt in 2014 and is survived by her siblings Henry, Vic, Carl, their spouses and families. She will be missed by her extended family and friends alike. Condolences may be shared online at www.friendsfs.ca. Viewing will take place at Friends Funeral Service, 2146 Main St., Winnipeg on Wednesday, June 17 at 7:00 p.m. with sharing at 7:15 p.m.. The funeral service will be held at Friends Funeral Service on Thursday, June 18 at 11:00 a.m. with lunch to follow at 12:00 noon. Interment will take place at Windsor Cemetery, Teulon at 2:30 p.m. Our world was a safer and warmer place because of Mom. FRIENDS FUNERAL SERVICE 204-339-5555

Jane was special....she had a gentle spirit, although she endured many hardships, she kept a strong faith in the Lord. As her life became increasingly difficult In the home & hospital, she always offered a warm smile. Her heartfelt prayers were not in vain, many were answered and many may be still be answered after her passing. It was a treasure to share my life with Jane and will miss her very much. - Posted by: Carl Dyck (Sister) on: Jun 16, 2015
