ALICE HECKO After a very brief illness, Alice Hecko of Sanford, Manitoba, aged 92 years, passed away at Carman Hospital, June 13, 2015. Alice is survived by her daughters Barbara (Wayne), Josephine (Paul), and son-in-law Brian (Marlene) as well as countless nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Steve, and daughter Marlene White. Viewing will be at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg from 11:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., Friday, June 19. A graveside service will be held at the Sanford Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. Alice will be laid to rest along with her daughter Marlene's ashes. There will be a get-together and lunch at Alice's home following the service. Special thanks to the Southern Health Sante Sud Home Care Staff for their help, care and support during the past year. As well, heartfelt thanks to the nurses and doctors at the Carman Hospital for their wonderful care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Alice's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 6 Donald St., Winnipeg, R3L 0K6.
