TOBY TORFHILDUR KAPRAWY Toby went to be with the Lord Tuesday morning, June 16, 2015. She was born in Framnes, Manitoba on February 1, 1924 to Magnus and Asta Gislason. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband of nearly 50 years, Jerry in 2007, her brothers Einar (Lily), Halli (Albertina), Steve (Emily), Njall, Pall (Joyce), her sisters Gula (Valdie) Sopher, Helga (Joe) Olson, Gudny (Siggi) Erlendson and niece Pauline (Ted) Gutowski. She attended Framnes School and then worked at Arborg Co-Op for many years as bookkeeper/accountant. She married Jerry November 9, 1957 and they settled on their farm north of Arborg where she was so happy with all her animals especially her cows and huge beautiful gardens. She was meticulous and proficient in everything she did whether working at the Co-Op or farming with Jerry. Everyone loved Toby. She was a special lady. She walked softly on this earth with respect to God and her fellow man. This was certainly evidenced during her stay in the Arborg Personal Care Home. She is survived by her sisters-in-law Stina Gislason and Elizabeth Kowalchuk as well as her many nieces and nephews who all adored her. While we honour her and rejoice with her to be in heaven, where she has now joined her family, we will miss her dearly and are saddened at our loss. Good-bye for now until we meet again dear one. Interment will be held on Thursday, June 25, 2015 at 10:15 a.m. at the Arborg Community Cemetery with Memorial Service to follow at Ardal-Geysir Lutheran Church in Arborg at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Gary Schenk officiating.
